While coronavirus keeps on spreading across the world, tests should be multiplied in the coming days. According to the Health director general Jérôme Salomon, France should get within ten days about 25,000 to 30,000 tests per day instead of 9,000 today.
In the meantime, several testing centers are opening in the country. The Porte de Versailles in Paris 15th arrondissement has been welcoming a mobile testing unit since March 26th.
Managing nine event centers in Île de France (Espace Champerret, Espace Grande Arche, Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, Les Salles du Carrousel, Palais des Congrès d’Issy, Palais des Congrès de Paris, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Paris Le Bourget, Paris Nord Villepinte), Viparis wished to help in the fight against COVID-19 by setting up a testing center in the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles venue on the level 7 of the parking lot.
But careful though, this mobile testing center, managed by the Cerballiance laboratoires, is only reserved for health professionals (doctors, nurses…) presenting coronavirus symptoms as well as all fragile people or at risk.
“Testing symptomatic health professionals and all fragile people or at risk is a priority” Viparis general director Pablo Nakhlé Cerruti has said in a press release. “We remain at the disposal of health authorities to work on a solution likely to help in the current context. Facing this exceptional situation, let’s be all united”.
Note that tests will be only performed by appointment, prescription or medical orientation.
