As France’s vaccination campaign is escalating, French may resume normal life by “the Summer” or “the Fall”. This is what the government’s Mister vaccine – Alain Fischer – told this Monday March 22 on BFMTV.

This is a question many French are wondering about. When will life get back to normal. Invited on BFMTV on March 22, Alain Fischer considers the country may meet with normal life again by “this Summer” or “this Fall”.

We can hope life to get back to normal by the Summer, the Fall”, the head of the vaccinal strategy guidance committee said, as the vaccination campaign is improving in the country. As of March 22, France has vaccinated 5,630,671 inhabitants, namely 8.4% of the population.

For life to get back to normal, we need the virus to have dramatically withdrawn, and the most vulnerable people – 20 million French – be protected”. Then, “to decrease the spread of the virus, we need the youngest” to be vaccinated. To do so, we must wait until this Summer or Fall, he estimated.

This past November already, Institut Pasteur Professor Arnaud Fontanet said life would get back to normal by “the Fall 2021”, but only if “80-90% of the French” are vaccinated.

As for the French, they are more skeptical. A recent IFOP study for Aladom shows that 71% of the surveyed think life would never go back to normal.
