France is facing the fifth coronavirus epidemic wave causing another increase in new contaminations. As the Holidays are just around the corner and Christmas markets are popping here and there, the French government has decided to make additional measures to try and slow down the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic in France. This Monday December 6, 2021, Prime Minister Jean Castex and Health Minister Olivier Véran shared restrictions now instated.
Therefore, nightclubs must close from Friday December 10, 2021 for four weeks, cancelling all Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties underway.

As for major outdoor gatherings such as Christmas Markets or the Lyon light festival, they are not subject to the health pass including extra measures as decreed by the local prefect. For instance, it involves isolating food or drink areas when possible and instate the precious door opener. Last but not least, the government requires company to postpone leaving parties and ceremonies.
