Calling all egg hunters: the traditional Secours Populaire Easter egg hunt is back in Paris. On Sunday, March 31, 2024, head to the Parc André Citroën for the famous Parisian solidarity egg hunt. Over 200 volunteers will be on hand to liven up these festive days of solidarity and mutual aid.
As in previous years, children will have to pay a €6 hunting permit, purchased on site or online, to set off in search of the eggs. The search then begins: the little ones will have to scour the local groves to find the famous eggs.
There will be a range of activities and challenges for children of different ages: 3-5, 5-8, 8 and over. With the Paris 2024 Olympic Games just around the corner, special emphasis is being placed on sport and its values of sharing, socialization and emancipation dear to Secours populaire.
Two main workshops are on offer: soccer and family " parkour ", led by Jacques Hébert, descendant of the creator of the Hébert natural training method. This method is characterized by the use of the outdoor environment for exercise without the need for specific equipment. These activities are open to all, adults and children alike, with the only recommendation being that you wear sneakers.
In addition, youngsters will have the opportunity to engage in sports-related puzzle games, promoting inclusion. After completing the course and collecting the eggs, the young explorers will receive a chocolate snack and can explore the village of associations.
Once the course has been completed and the eggs collected, the children are entitled to their chocolate snack. Then it's off to the fun village.
A variety of activities, from group games and creative workshops to sporting challenges and socio-environmental discoveries, are on the agenda for young and old alike. The event, which focuses on solidarity and inclusion, invites all children, including those accompanied by Secours Populaire, to enjoy a series of workshops and activities designed to raise awareness of important issues such as respect for the environment, understanding disability and promoting children's rights around the world. Face-painting, coloring and fun workshops are on the program, along with festive entertainment including music, capoeira and a magician...
Dedicated volunteers and partners will be on hand to oversee a host of interactive activities for families. This day, centered on sport and sustainable development, not only highlights the missions of our association, but also constitutes a crucial source of funding for Secours Populaire, facilitating our interventions in a variety of fields such as access to sport, leisure, culture, and the organization of the "Forgotten Holiday Day".
