Like every year, galette des rois fans are in heaven with the traditional galette. Whether it's a galette from one of the great houses, a galette from one of the great pastry chefs, a galette from one of the palaces, or an affordable galette or an original galette... there's something for everyone.
And this year, Ground Control is also celebrating theEpiphany with two events. First of all, we're heading for Ground Control's Halle Charolais in the 12th arrondissement, to discover an original recipe from chef Cristina Derache.
She's come up with an incredible frangipane strudel! A special creation for Ground Control on the occasion of Three Kings and to be enjoyed at the venue's coffee shop this Sunday, January 6, 2019.
If you want even more, head to Ground Control des Champs this Tuesday, January 8, 2019, from 5:30pm, to share a giant galette made with caramelized puff pastry and a rum/bigaradier almond cream.
Prepared by French Dessert Champion Mathieu Mandard, the giant galette des Champs will be served with Fils de Pomme ciders at the Cantine du Ground bar.
Galettes will continue to be served at the Cantine du Ground and Ground Store Café throughout January.
