We're off to the 11th arrondissement to discover the galettes des Rois from Boulangerie Miemie, a small, crunchy bakery that offers only homemade products, made with passion and love, of course.
To get the year off to a good start and give you something to face the winter, the bakery is offering two gourmet creations forEpiphanie 2025. Traditionalists who swear by almond cream or frangipane will be delighted to discover their frangipane version, which combines whole almond powder, muscovado sugar, PDO butter and whole eggs. Indeed, the house swears by good products, good for the body and the spirit, so we couldn't agree more. Count on 20€ for 4 people, 30€ for 6 people and 5€ per slice.
A second galette will brighten up your January routine this year: the Choco-Sarrasin version, made with chocolate custard, wholemeal almond powder and buckwheat praline. Here's a gourmet version that should delight cocoa fans. It costs €24 for 4 people and €36 for 6.
And for collectors, note that the beans come from the neighboring ceramic boutique Colette Rémond Veyness. Handcrafted, one-of-a-kind beans, we're sure you'll agree.
