How about a visit to the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature on September 21 and 22, 2024, during the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days)? Free admission to the museum and its exhibition!

Since it opened in 1967, the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature has sought to document man's relationship with nature over the centuries, from Antiquity to the present day.

The rich collection of ancient, modern and contemporary works of art on display, constantly added to by the owners of the"Musée de France" label, includes naturalized animals and inspirational elements that make this museum, located in the heart of the Marais district in the Guénégaud and Mongelas mansions, a kind of reproduction of the animal world in its environment.

Curious visitors will discover naturalized animals from Asia, Africa and America; hunting weapons, paintings and many other objects.

The 2024 Heritage Days program at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature :

  • Self-guided tour of the temporary exhibition by artist Tamara Kostianovsky
    September 21 and 22

Temporary exhibition by artist Tamara Kostianovsky. The artist invites us to an introspective encounter with our own bodies and, more intimately, with hers. Her creations are conceived as a textile autobiography, breaking with the usual literary memoirs. In her works, whether tree stumps or animal carcasses, the artist breathes life into these inert bodies. She gives shape to the cocnept of "world flesh" developed by philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty (1908-1961): perceiving the world through our bodies.
