Paris: temporary lush terraces to rent for free on the Champs-Elysées this summer

And what if, for one hour, you were renting a plot on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées? This is the concept the Committee of the famous Parisian avenue offers you to live all summer. From July 17 to 26, 2020, six plant-filled terraces set on the world’s most beautiful avenue are to be privatized for free.

The Comité des Champs-Élysées came up with six plots with very different styles: the kitchen-garden terrace, the wild terrace, the tropical terrace, the Mediterranean terrace, the flowered terrace, and the zen terrace. They are all set between No.23 and 136 on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées and have been created with reusable materials. Once the operation is done, plants used on the occasion will be returned to production.

For this friendly and unique event, the association of the cultural and economic players of the avenue des Champs-Elysées offers Parisians and other curious to book for one hour and for free these green lounges. How to book your lush terrace (up to 12 people)? You only have to head to the dedicated website created by the Comité des Champs-Elysées and pick your day and time slot (between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.) before entering necessary details.

Note that some rules are to be respected. You can bring food, but alcohol is banned. A host will also be there to welcome patrons.
