After Seine-et-Marne, Essonne, the Yvelines, and Paris, we now reveal where the best traditional baguette in Val-d’Oise can be found. This spring, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the Île-de-France department organized the 2026 edition of this annual, mouth-watering competition that pits Val-d’Oise bakers against each other.
Once again, many contestants took part, but only one walked away with the top prize. So, who is the winner? Where should you go to savor the best traditional French baguette in Val-d'Oise (95)? The results were announced on April 9 by the Val-d'Oise Chamber of Trades and Crafts.
The Rouget Bakery, which has shops in Ézanville, L'Isle-Adam, and Beaumont-sur-Oise, clinches the top spot in the rankings thanks to Jacques-Édouard Duffour. He rises to the first rung on the podium in the category “chef d’entreprise/employeur.” And that’s not all, because Rouget Bakery has pulled off a true hat-trick, also taking first place in the “salariés” category thanks to Fabien Philippe and the “apprentis” category with Raphaël Dauphin-Boyard.
This acclaimed bakery in Val-d'Oise has once again climbed onto the podium. Last year, Rouget bakery finished third in the chef d’entreprise/employeur category and second in the salariés category. This year, the bakery turns the tables and takes first place in all three categories of the competition!
Congratulations to the winners and well done to all the participants!
