Fête de la Musique 2024: La Ganga Calé and Ben Armessen in free concert in Houilles (78)

It's an event that music lovers look forward to! Every June 21, live music resounds throughout France at the now-famous Fête de la Musique.

For over 40 years now, this popular, festive and free event has been a joy for the many musicians eager to get out their instruments and share their passion with as many people as possible. Every June 21 since the event was launched in 1982, the free concerts organized for the occasion have put a smile on the faces of many French people.

The Fête de la Musique, which showcases the diversity of the musical landscape by bringing together amateurs and professionals, is a celebration of all tastes, from rock and jazz to rap, metal, classical music, blues, electro and reggae...

Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of good music deals to be had in Paris, with free concerts organized on every street corner in several of the capital's arrondissements. Elsewhere in the Ile-de-France region, there's no shortage of events either, like in Houilles.

This town in the Yvelines region of the Paris region is once again taking part in the Fête de la Musique, inviting new talent to take over the Parc Charles-de-Gaulle and the Place du 14 Juillet. After welcoming La Dame Blanche in 2022 and Gasandji last year, which artists have the honor of taking part in this Fête de la musique 2024 in Houilles?

On Friday June 21, 2024, the Yvelines municipality will be inviting its residents to the Parc Charles-de-Gaulle bandstand from 6pm to enjoy the sounds of young talent from the local scene, followed by La Ganga Calé. For this year's Fête de la Musique, this Spanish group is preparing an ultra-festive multicultural journey.

We're also heading for the Place du 14 Juillet to discover three bands, including Ben Armessen. The singer-drummer from the group Simawé will take the opportunity to unveil his rootsy folk universe, a mix of personal compositions and covers of French and Anglo-Saxon songs.
