The Fête de la musique announces its return on Friday, June 21, 2024 with a flurry of free concerts to discover in Paris and everywhere else in France!

The Fête de la Musique was created in 1982 by Jack Lang and a number of his colleagues to promote music in all its forms. On this day, amateur and professional musicians are invited to share their art with as many people as possible, at free concerts organized in the streets and places open to the public. Every year, this popular cultural event attracts millions of French music and party lovers.

For more than 40 years now, the Fête de la musique has been an opportunity for budding musicians and singers to make all kinds of music resound in the streets, squares, parks and gardens, churches and museums. Every June 21, all musical styles are featured: rock, metal, rap, hip-hop, electro, classical, jazz, blues, zouk, salsa, reggae... In 2024, the Fête de la Musique is once again preparing a jam-packed program, with not-to-be-missed highlights , must-see artists, electro and classical music concerts, as well as more unusual concerts, such as those at the Mission bretonne!

Since 1947, the Mission Bretonne/Ti ar Vretoned (Maison des Bretons) has been welcoming and helping Bretons arriving in Paris. Located near the Montparnasse train station, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, the Mission bretonne has become over the years a place of conviviality open to all. Every week, the Mission bretonne welcomes several hundred people who come to meet up, chat, dance, sing, play music or find out about upcoming concerts in the area.

The Mission bretonne also takes part in a number of events, including the Fête de la musique. This year, join us on Friday, June 21, 2024 for a good dose of Celtic music!
