Every year on June 21, France is transformed into an open-air concert hall for a memorable evening. This year, the Fête de la Musique celebrates its 42nd edition on Friday June 21, 2024. It's the perfect opportunity to enjoy a wide range of concerts and events near you. If you live in the Hauts-de-Seine region, and more specifically in the commune of Châtillon, then we've got good news for you: several musical events await you.
The Fête de la Musique was created in 1982 by Jack Lang and a number of his colleagues to promote music in all its forms. Amateur and professional musicians are invited to share their art with as many people as possible, at free concerts organized in the streets and in places open to the public. Every year, this popular cultural event attracts millions of French music and party lovers.
The town of Châtillon is also a regular participant in this celebration, organizing a variety of musical events for young and old alike. This commune of the Greater Paris Metropolis is home to several cultural and artistic spaces, and organizes festivals and cultural events throughout the year, such as Printemps des Poètes, Nuits de la lecture, Journées du Patrimoine, Rendez-vous au Jardin... A true promised land for culture lovers!

Come dance and enjoy rhythmic performances by music groups from the Maison des Enfants, Conservatoire and Club 6/12.
5.30pm: 6-12 year-old section: 4 girls from Club 6-12 will perform their own Afrotrap-style songs.
6pm: Adult group led by Cyprien Allard. Pop and rock repertoire. Mathieu Caharel, guitar and vocals / Céline Couvidat, guitar / Benoit Cornille, guitar / Jean-Jacques Hochard, guitar / Nicolas Bouquet, bass / Cyprien Allard, drums.
6:45pm: Châtillon Conservatory. Various ensembles, led by Stanislas Kuchinski, prepare some musical surprises.
7.45pm: Rave'n rol group. Young high school students from the Maison des Enfants will present their compositions created over the course of the year, under the direction of Damien Ropars, with the collaboration of Roger Marlu. Océane Ledon: voice and violin / Mélina Balvet, keyboards / Noah Eynard, guitar / Defne Ozkan, clarinet / Félix Ropars, bass / Jean-François Mathieu, drums.
8.15pm: Group of adult students from the MDE. Under the direction of Cyprien Allard and Damien Ropars. Festive repertoire of funk, jazz and Latin music, with surprise guests! Romain Gerome, baby bass / Antonio Balvet, guitar / Clotilde Terrible, vocals.
9pm: Jam Session open to all, hosted by Maison des Enfants teachers.
If you're willing to share the stage and play covers with strangers, the Jam Session is for you, so don't hesitate!
Over the course of the evening, young rappers 2MSDJ and rappers Ewan and Yann-Enzo will take part in various musical ensembles between 6:45 and 8:30 pm.
