June 21 is the Fête de la Musique , the famous cultural event that brings together a host of musicians in the streets, but also in bars and restaurants, parks and gardens, museums and institutions.
As a reminder, the Fête de la Musique was launched in 1982 by the French Ministry of Culture. This year, 2024, marks the 42nd anniversary of this popular, free musical event, which has become a firm favourite with the general public. As in previous editions, this new Fête de la Musique is an opportunity"to emphasize the principles that presided over its creation: a festive, popular and spontaneous event, aimed at all audiences and designed to highlight and encourage amateur practices", as stated on the Ministry of Culture website.
This year's program promises to be once again rich and eclectic, with numerous free concerts to discover and listen to in the four corners of Paris, and elsewhere in the Île-de-France region, such as in Bussy-Saint-Georges.
For this year's Fête de la musique, the town in the Seine-et-Marne region of Ile-de-France invites you to join us on Friday June 21, 2024 for an evening of music that will take you back in time to the disco era!
On June 21, 2024, the town of Bussy-Saint-Georges will play host to cover band Super Trooper for ABBA, who will be delighted to pay tribute to the legendary Swedish band with a number of their iconic hits. These include"Dancing Queen","Mamma Mia","Waterloo" and"Money, Money, Money". This free concert by Super Trooper for ABBA is not to be missed on June 21 at 8pm in Vitlina Square.
