Nuit Blanche, the flagship event of Parisian cultural life, is back in 2023! This unique event transforms the City of Light into an open-air museum, offering art lovers the chance to discover spectacular and original artistic installations, all by starlight. On this exceptional occasion, Paris lights up with a thousand lights and echoes with the murmur of artistic conversations. Get ready for an unforgettable night of discovery and wonder!
This year, French artist Maïder Fortuné, known for her experimental approach to image creation, presents a remarkable immersive work entitled Unicorn, projected onto the quays of the Seine in the Henri IV tunnel. This six-minute video installation, projected in DV cam format, features the legendary unicorn, a symbol of purity and chastity. She moves against a black background, standing out like a lighthouse in the night, while a shower of ashes gradually covers her until she disappears. The installation is accompanied by an enchanting soundtrack, blending the sound of falling drops with a few piano chords, creating a mysterious, hypnotic atmosphere.
In addition to the renown of artist Maïder Fortuné, this is an opportunity to discover a work that pushes the boundaries of video art, blending fable, mystery and reality. Fortuné's Unicorn invites you to lose yourself in a visual narrative oscillating between dream and reality, where the unicorn motif comes to life in an aesthetically fascinating mise-en-scène. So get ready to be transported into an artistic world where myth and reality merge for an unforgettable experience at this Nuit Blanche 2023!
