Nuit Blanche returns to Paris for one magical night in 2023, transforming the City of Light into a vast ephemeral museum. It's a unique opportunity to discover the city from a whole new angle, in a fun and original way. Just imagine! The streets of the capital are transformed into an open-air art gallery, inviting art lovers and the curious to stroll from midnight to dawn, discovering works of contemporary art scattered around the city. A fascinating nocturnal journey not to be missed.
The Léopold Sédar Senghor footbridge, formerly the Solférino footbridge, is one of the emblematic sites to be discovered during this Nuit Blanche 2023. This majestic structure spans the Seine, linking the Musée d'Orsay and the Jardin des Tuileries, and is a veritable work of architectural art. Inaugurated in 1999, it bears the name of Léopold Sédar Senghor, poet, philosopher and first president of Senegal, in tribute to his love of culture and poetry. As you stroll through, you'll be captivated by its modern, elegant design, the work of renowned architect Marc Mimram.
Saturday June 3 is the perfect opportunity to appreciate this architectural marvel in a new light - literally! This year, artist duo Plastique Fantastique will be on hand to create a unique visual spectacle on the footbridge. What's more, the footbridge offers a panoramic view of Paris's finest monuments, such as the Louvre and Notre-Dame, magnificently illuminated on this exceptional night. So don't miss this enriching and memorable experience at Nuit Blanche 2023!
