While the health crisis is disrupting the festive season - Valentine's Day and Lunar New Year - the Mairie de Paris has decided to team up with My Little Paris magazine to offer Parisians a light-hearted moment in the capital. A giant love note, placed on the ground, in the shape of a 900m2 heart, please.
It features tender phrases, like declarations of love to the City of Light:
We only have one life. Dream it every night, and live it every day.
Larguezles habitudes. Don't forget your first love.
Write. Surprise yourself. Bluff others. Call your grandmother. Borrow her memories.
Send postcards. Offer compliments. Sort. Trash, relationships, objects. Get lost in Paris and dream of the seaside. Laugh your head off. Take naps, not lie-in. Think of others. But don't forget yourself.
Imagine things. Fail sometimes. Don't waste time.
Don't say "one day", say "I love you".
Everything will change and Paris will always be there.
This ephemeral work, visible in its entirety from Sunday morning, is a collage that will launch a wider communication operation, entitled"Paris je t'aime toujours".
Scheduled for March, this operation will allow us to listen to Parisians' testimonials of love. From February 14 to March 6, Parisians are invited to declare their love for Paris by leaving an audio message on 01 89 16 53 02. In no more than 1 minute, you'll have to say why you love Paris. A selection will be made on March 6, and will be available to listen to in the street via QR codes!
As usual, billboards will be displaying words of love from Parisians this Sunday.
