See or re-see a classic at the cinema? It's possible! The Filmothèque du quartier Latin has dedicated its entire program to reruns of these iconic films. Scarface, The President's Men, Taxi Driver or La Dolce Vita... treat yourself to all these films in restored versions on the big screen! Two theaters are available, one red and one blue. The red one features a portrait of Marilyn Monroe, the blue one of Audrey Hepburn. This is one of the few art-house cinemas to be equipped with a 4K projector for certain films.
Alongside it, other art cinemas can be found in the heart of the Latin Quarter, such as Le Champo. The Filmothèque continues to be immersed in culture and history. The cinema is also surrounded by the Odéon theater, the Luxembourg Gardens and the Palais de Justice, if you're curious about attending a trial one day. A 10-minute walk from the cinema is also the Conciergerie, the former prison of the Palais de la Cité, where Marie-Antoinette was imprisoned in 1793. On its quayside façade, you can see the oldest clock in Paris. In fact, this part of the banks of the Seine is known as the Quais de l'horloge.
So much history in just one cinema! All you have to do is choose what you want to visit!
