Four feature films – almost never-before-seen in France – are to be discovered on December 5 and 6, at L’Arlequin movie theater in Paris, as part of the Indigenous Australian Cinema Festival.

Here is a very little represented cinema in France and across the world. Australian cinema – and especially Indigenous – is coming to Paris this December for the Indigenous Australian Cinema Festival. For two days – on December 5 and 6, 2022 – three feature films and a short film will be played at L’Arlequin movie theater located in Paris 6th arrondissement.

Premiering, these movies create a cycle titled “Radical Reimaginings in the Indigenous Cinema”. This is the occasion to discover different stories focusing on a poorly represented civilization in movies.

The festival’s program:

  • Fist Of Fury Noongar Daa, by Wei Lo and Kylie Bracknell – Monday December 5, 8:15 p.m.
  • Loveland (Expired), by Ivan Sen – Monday December 5, 6:15 p.m.
  • Just Another Day In Indulkana, by Vicki Yatjiki Cullinan and Iwantja Arts (short movie) – Tuesday December 6, 8 p.m.
  • The Drover's wife, the legend of Molly Johnson, by Leah Purcell – December 6, 8 p.m., movie followed by a cocktail party

Which one will you see, then?
