Infected: an intense post-apocalyptic thriller on Prime Video

Originally released in 2010 under the original title Carriers, Infected is a horrific drama directed by brothers Àlex Pastor and David Pastor. Four young people head for the ocean on the highway, but they're not on vacation: they're trying to escape the end of the world... The human race is threatened by a deadly virus. No one is safe anymore. To escape the pandemic, Danny, his brother Brian, his girlfriend Bobby and a school friend, Kate, head for the southwestern United States. Based on a childhood memory, Danny is convinced they'll find shelter on a remote surfing beach in the Gulf of Mexico. There, they can live in safety until they return to the world. Their rules are simple: take only roundabout routes; avoid contact with other humans at all costs. However, as their dream of survival unfolds, they come up against choices none of them is prepared to make. They soon discover that no virus is more dangerous than the dark side that lies dormant in all of us...
