The Lunar New Year, a time of festivities and traditions, is coming to the videogame world with Core Keeper. From January 31 to February 13, players are invited to immerse themselves in a special adventure, celebrating the occasion with a never-before-seen seasonal event. Core Keeper, renowned for its immersive sandbox experience, features themed elements and exclusive items. An opportunity for players to explore centuries-old traditions in a virtual setting.
Core Keeper 's Lunar New Year event offers an exciting hunt for lost red envelopes. These envelopes, packed with lucky coins, open the door to a range of new items. Players can get their hands on decorative paper lanterns, mystical pom-poms, wall lanterns, statues of guardian beasts, and an all-new headdress - the dragon mask.
For those who prefer to keep their coins, they can be proudly displayed in their underground base. The update also brings significant improvements, responding to fan requests, such as major changes to wall and floor tiles for easier construction and customization, improvements to chests and planters, and further performance optimizations. Discord users also benefit from a new feature: Rich Presence, enabling them to display their current Core Keeper activity and group size directly on their Discord profile.
The event trailer offers a glimpse of the content to come, and also teases an all-new boss that will make its appearance with the release of Core Keeper 1.0 this summer. With over 2 million copies sold during its early access on Steam, Core Keeper has established itself as an award-winning sandbox adventure, playable alone or with up to 8 players. Your mission? Collect relics and resources to build your base, craft advanced tools and explore an ever-changing world.
Level after level, players are invited to defeat legendary Titans, unlock the power of the Heart, discover creatures and treasures, cultivate their garden, fish mysterious waters, master recipes, drive vehicles, raise pets, meet the Cavelings and shape their own underground world. Core Keeper is currently available in early access on Steam and will launch on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4 this summer.
By celebrating the Lunar New Year in Core Keeper, players are invited to merge ancestral traditions with the dynamism of modern technology, offering an enriching and culturally relevant gaming experience. This event is not only an opportunity for fun and discovery, but also a great way to recognize and honor a global festivity in the digital world. To your keyboards!
