Headlining every season: Louis Vuitton. The monogram and the checkerboard, two emblematic prints that have made the success story of the House, initially entirely dedicated to luggage. In the 2000s, Louis Vuitton extended its activity to fashion and launched its ready-to-wear line. Among the iconic artistic directors of women's ready-to-wear was American designer Marc Jacobs, who held the helm for 16 years, before handing over to French designer Nicolas Ghesquière, former artistic director of Balenciaga.
