Giving the little ones a taste for reading - that's the challenge of the national "Partir en livre " operation, run on the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and organized throughout France by the Centre national du livre (CNL), for 10 years now. The great celebration of books for young people returns for an anniversary edition from June 19 to July 21, 2024, on a sporting theme, linked to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which begin shortly afterwards!
On the program: literary strolls, writing and drawing competitions, exhibitions, meetings, special selections to be found in bookshops, giveaways, public readings, games, signing sessions, an escape game... many free events are being organized in Île-de-France! For half of the summer vacations, children can sail from activity to activity, whetting their curiosity and appetite for reading. What better way to make new friends than by discussing books ? Reading is a moment of joy and sharing, alone or with others, and this year the festival also invites you to get moving, to explore the links between sport and literature!
Partir en livre will be reaching out to children and teenagers right from the start of the vacations! Just like last year, the Livrodrome is back, an itinerantliterary theme park touring France, with ten stops planned. At the foot of buildings, on beaches, in tents or from your own home, enjoy thousands of activities!
