Sake lovers take note: the Salon Européen du Saké et des Boissons Japonaises returns to Paris from Saturday, October 5 to Monday, October 7, 2019. The New Cap Event Center, nestled in the 15th arrondissement, is once again hosting the sixth edition of this now unmissable, large-scale event.
In 2018, over 4600 visitors came to discover more than 350 nihonshu (the real name for Japanese sake), as well as meeting sake producers and importers and exchanging ideas with other sake enthusiasts.
This 2019 edition will feature over 600 Japanese sakes and 200 other Japanese beverages for tasting. For the very first time, the prefectures ofIwate and Shizuoka will join those of Hyogo and Tottori, among others, among the ten or so major participating sake regions.
Salon du Saké 2019 will also feature masterclasses and workshops showcasing amazing new food and sake pairings! And let's not forget the" carte blanche "workshop offered to a renowned Parisian chef.
And, as every year, the Salon Européen du Saké will open with the official Kagami Biraki ceremony, during which show organizer and sake master Sylvain Huet, surrounded by several guests, breaks the lid off a sake barrel to kick off the festivities.
In short, don't miss this event dedicated to connoisseurs and novices alike who want to discover theworld of sake!
