See you on Sunday April 21 and Monday April 22, 2024 at Hall 6 of the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles for the start of the 33ᵉ Tour Auto. En route for 7 days of pure pleasure in the heart of France, from April 21 to 27, 2024, from Paris to Biarritz, via Tours (La Grange de Meslay), Limoges, Carcassonne and Pau. Competitors will race on the Le Mans, Val de Vienne, Nogaro and Pau Arnos circuits.
A major event for enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike, the Tour Auto is one of the most important motoring events of its kind. Once again, more than 240 rare machines will set off from the capital for five days of discovery of the roads of France, covering 2,000 kilometers and featuring timed trials on circuits and closed sections (rallies). Over seven days, competitors will compete on four circuits (Le Mans, Val de Vienne, Nogaro and Pau Arnos) and ten special stages.
The Tour Auto, reinstated in 1992 after its last historic edition in 1986, is an iconic rally event combining timed segments on roads and circuits. This carefully organized event, with its inimitable atmosphere, is a must for classic car enthusiasts.
Founded in 1899 by the Automobile Club de France, the Tour Auto is the oldest automobile competition still in existence. This renowned rally attracts legendary marques such as Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar, Mercedes, Maserati and Matra, driven by such celebrities as Maurice Trintignant, Stirling Moss, Phil Hill, Bernard Darniche, Jean Pierre Beltoise and Henri Pescarolo. The oil crisis of the 80s led to its suspension, but its resurgence as a historical retrospective in 1992 quickly regained its place as a major event for car collectors.
Each year, Peter Autocélèbre celebratesa manufacturer or type of car that has played a part in the history of the Tour de France Automobile. For the 33rd edition, the BMW 3.0 CSL and prototypes from the 50s to the 70s that contributed to the history of the Tour de France Automobile will be honored.
And, as an integral part of the Tour Auto, the presentation of the cars in Paris, in Hall 6 of Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles. Over 300 exceptional cars will be on display.
