Nage ta Seine 2024: buoy race and swimming in the Seine at Parc de l'Ile Saint-Denis (93)

Published by Margot de Sortiraparis · Published on May 3, 2024 at 04:30 p.m.
On Sunday, July 7, 2024, just a few days before the start of the Paris Olympic Games, the very first edition of Nage ta Seine takes place, a swimming event... In the Seine.

Just before the international athletes jump into the Seine for the various triathlon and open-water swimming events, the Fédération sportive et gymnique de travail de la Seine-Saint-Denis (FSGT 93) and the FSGT des Hauts-de-Seine are teaming up to offer the first edition of Nage ta Seine.

Swimming enthusiasts will be able to take to the water to swim distances of 250, 500, 1,500 or 3,000 meters, while those who prefer to have fun will be able to compete in the buoy race. Pink flamingos, crocodiles, dolphins and other inflatable unicorns are expected for the most unusual race of the day!

In addition to the swimming events, an ephemeral sports village will welcome you all day long in the Ile Saint-Denis park, with swimming initiations for children, a climbing wall, dance sessions and more. Once the races are over, awards will be presented to the winners of each race and category at 12:30 p.m.

The Nage ta Seine 2024 program:

  • 11 a.m.: Start of 1,500 m and 3,000 m swims
  • 11:30am: 250m and 500m swim start
  • 12pm: buoy race

To register for Nage ta Seine - no matter which race you do - cost €10 per person, and registration is now open!
