Euro 2024: Kylian Mbappé injured, out until the end of the group stages?

During the match between France and Austria, Les Bleus' star striker Kylian Mbappé suffered a shock, resulting in a fractured nose. Fortunately, he did not require surgery, but is expected to be out for the rest of the first round.

Les Bleus will have to do without their star and captain, Kylian Mbappé, for the final two games against the Netherlands and Poland. While France were winning one goal to nil against Austria on Monday June 17, 2024, Kylian Mbappé suffered a shock collision with Kevin Danso and ended up with a bloody nose, giving rise to images that may offend the most sensitive, as the French striker's nasal septum was clearly deviated.

After examinations, the news is rather reassuring as the player will not require surgery. However, the fractured nose means he will have to leave the pitch for at least the next match, and is unlikely to assist his team-mates during the group phase, as such an injury requires 8 to 15 days' rest.

Upon his return, he will also have to wear a mask, to avoid any further dangerous shocks. The former Parisian, now Madrid player, reassured fans with a tweet to choose the latter!
