On July 26, during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, his hit"Supernature" thrilled millions of television viewers, while the Eiffel Tower shone with a thousand lights. Since then, this cult track by Marc Cerrone has made a strong comeback in the charts and on streaming platforms.
This autumn, the town ofAsnières-sur-Seine has decided to give its residents and the surrounding area a wonderful gift by welcoming Cerrone for an exclusive, free, open-air dj set. Don't miss it this Friday, September 20, 2024, in front of the Hôtel de Ville. We're sure Cerrone will concoct a well-oiled mix that's sure to get you dancing.
Cerrone is considered by many to be the pillar of disco in France! Cerrone began his career in the United States with the track"Love in C Minor". The album went on to win a Grammy Award in 1976. Then, just one year later, Cerrone enjoyed another huge success with the release of his 3rd opus,"Supernature (Cerrone III)", supported by the eponymous single. Even today, " Supernature " remains one of the great disco anthems.
This was followed by several more albums, including "DNA (Cerrone XVII)", Cerrone's latest opus, released in 2020.
This Friday, September 20, 2024, starting at 8pm, Cerrone will be taking to the decks in Asnières-sur-Seine to set the mood in front of the Hôtel de Ville and take you back to the best of disco! Artist Mercer will also be on hand. And if you want to continue the back-to-school festivities, Asnières-sur-Seine is inviting the tribute band Abba Fever to pay tribute to the legendary Swedish group on Saturday September 21 at 8:30pm.
