L'amour vainqueur, an operetta created by Olivier Py, takes to the stage at the Théâtre du Châtelet from June 8 to 13, 2024 for five performances. This children's show plunges you into the world of the Grimm brothers, pitting despair against love.
A young girl in love is locked in a tower because she refused to obey her father. Once out, she discovers a world ravaged by conflict and misery. To find her prince, she must face an evil general.
Olivier Py 's show, created in 2019 , is adapted for children, but also for parents, in the form of a one-act operetta. L'amour vainqueur is not just about love, but also about hope, despair, conflict, desire, war and death.
Inspired by the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales by the German writers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, Olivier Py has reworked the Demoiselle Maleen Fairy Tale. He has taken up the idea of fall and redemption found in the story, and the main female character, the princess. The author wants to help children understand their own desires and develop their own opinions. He would like to provide some answers for the children who come to see this show, which may well be their first .
L'amour vainqueur is a family show at the Théâtre du Châtelet, from June 8 to 13, 2024 .
