The Thinker, The Kiss, The Gates of Hell... Auguste Rodin created some of the world's most famous sculptures. What if you could admire them for free, during a festive evening? It couldn't be easier: take part in the Nuit des Musées at the Musée Rodin in Meudon, on Saturday May 18, 2024.
This Saturday, head to Hauts-de-Seine to visit Auguste Rodin's former home and studio. The sculptor 's last home has now been transformed into a museum, allowing the curious and art-lovers alike to discover and admire the artist's works. The house, studio and park are home to numerous sculptures and plaster casts, giving us a better understanding of Rodin's creative process.
All these works can be seen during the Nuit des Musées. This major cultural event is a delight for lovers of art and heritage: for one evening, many museums in Paris and the Ile-de-France region open their doors free of charge, and organize a variety of events to encourage the general public to (re)discover the treasures preserved in France. Here's what the Rodin Museum in Meudon has planned for this very special evening.
