Encrées, a musical creation described as a musical jukebox, combining dance and music, is on at La Folie Théâtre until June 22, 2024. Created by the 18-artist troupe Les Brosters, the show tells and interweaves the moving stories ofHedy Lamarr, the Mirabal sisters and Sabine Zlatin .

Perhaps these names mean nothing to you? But these are women who changed history. Hedy Lamarr is credited with the invention of wifi, whose work was only recognized at the end of her life. The Mirabal sisters were three Dominican women famous for their opposition to the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo, former president of the Dominican Republic. Sabine Zlatin was a French Resistance fighter of Polish origin, known for having played a crucial role in the Second World War, saving a large number of Jews.

In this musical, the destinies of these women are linked by a mysterious letter. A beautiful tribute to these women, sometimes forgotten in history, with covers of great songs from musicals such as Chicago or The Greatest Showman .

Encrées, can be seen at La Folie Théâtre until June 22, 2024.
