On Sunday, October 4, 2020, Madame de Pompadour invites you to a day of festivities and fun at the Château de Champs-sur-Marne. Join forty or so costumed enthusiasts for this formidable re-enactment that brings to life Madame de Pompadour, the royal favorite, Madame du Châtelet, the great mathematician and friend of Monsieur de Voltaire, Sophie de Grouchy, Marquise de Condorcet and many other great personalities...
This celebration marks the inauguration of Madame's salon, an exceptional trellised salon recently restored. Country picnics, concerts, games, readings and many other surprises are on the program for this part of the summer countryside. Admission to the Château is charged, but all the day's activities are free and open to the public.
