Free Lumières Impressionnistes Festival in Chatou 2024, takes us back in time

The Lumières Impressionnistes festival returns for a 4th edition on September 6 and 7, 2024, on the theme: Let's celebrate together 1874 and the year of the first Impressionist exhibition! This free, festive event once again takes over the Hameau Fournaise in the Yvelines (78) with an exceptional program including sound and light shows, live arts performances and exhibitions.

The month of September is still full of surprises, with a wide range of festivals, many of them free, to our delight. This time, we're heading for Chatou and the Ile des Impressionnistes for an enchanting, artistic journey to discover the Lumières Impressionnistes 2024 Festival, which awaits you on September 6 and 7 at the Hameau Fournaise in Chatou, Yvelines.

This year, in a pleasant surprise, Hameau Fournaise takes us back in time to the time of the Impressionists, of course. The event invites us to celebrate together 1874, the year of the first Impressionist exhibition, with sound & light shows, live arts, exhibitions and an original, avant-garde scenography .

The program:

Son & lumière at the Théâtre de verdure

1874, the Impressionist scandal, created by Graphics Emotion. Broadcast at 9, 10 and 11 pm. Sound and light projections to discover while wandering around, broadcast continuously from 9pm.

Arts vivants

Préambule circassien, Compagnie des contraires: 8pm.
La danse des canotiers, Compagnie Projet A: 2 performances, at 8:30pm and 10:15pm.
Wandering contemporary circus performances, Compagnie des contraires: 7:30pm to 11pm.

Venetian parade

Parade of lantern-lit vintage boats, Sequana: From 9:30pm to 10:30pm.
Rendezvous on the water, presentation of vintage boats, Sequana: At 9:20 pm.

Exhibitions

Renoir Impressionniste, l'Expérience immersive: Parcours-spectacle, Musée Fournaise.
Contemporary art exhibition: Galerie Bessières.
Exhibition of period costumes, Arts et Chiffons.
Chez Nadar, exhibition on the legendary studio that hosted the first Impressionist exhibition.

All exhibitions are open from 7.30pm to 11pm.
