Have you ever seen a solar eclipse? Whether you have or not, the next such eclipse is scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 2025 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.). So, in Paris, we're offering you the chance to observe the sun for this very special moment, in the company of mediators from the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, in the 19th arrondissement.
So come and watch thesolar eclipse with your whole family, aged 6 and over! On March 29, the event will take place on the southern forecourt of the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, near the Mardakis fountain. Access is free and open to all, and the event is entirely free of charge. For the occasion, you can observe the eclipse in complete safety, through telescopes and screen projections.
What is a solar eclipse?
During such a phenomenon, the Moon will pass partially in front of the Sun, causing a partial eclipse. This eclipse gives the effect that part of the sun is "missing" (around 20% of the sun's surface in the sky for this eclipse).
