Parisian department store Galeries Lafayette has taken over one of the most beautiful addresses on the Champs-Elysées in Paris: 50-52 avenue des Champs-Elysées, a superb Art Deco building and former Virgin Megastore.
For this new address, Galeries Lafayette is counting on a selection of 600 brands and 300 designers. The four floors bring together the best in fashion and food:
On the first floor, in an area accessible from Rue de Ponthieu (a street running parallel to the Champs-Elysées), you'll discover a wide selection of beauty and perfumery products, in a bright, welcoming space that invites you to try out the products, thanks to the chairs set out on large tables,
On the second floor, casual, accessible and, above all, young fashion, but especially Citron, Jacquemus' long-awaited restaurant!
On the second and top floor, Luxe, which promises a fine shopping experience thanks to an army of personal stylists and outfits magnified in alcoves, like showcases for major brands. In a hidden nook, you'll find magnificent watches,
In the basement, gastronomy! Caterers, patissiers and oenotheques await us for wonderful discoveries: Alain Ducasse, Stohrer and Yard are all here, as are hundreds of fine grocery references...
Once we've taken a tour of the store, Galeries Lafayette has one more surprise in store for us: the roof is in fact usable, and has finally revealed a restaurant with a breathtaking view: the MUN.
To adapt to the expectations of customers looking for a new shopping experience, the department store is planning to introduce top-of-the-range services.
As for the building, it has retained its superb appearance, leaving the majestic Art Deco staircase to shine against a bronze Eiffel Tower, the brainchild of Danish architect Bjarke Ingels.
This opening accompanies the revival of the Champs Elysées, which will see the opening of a luxury hotel So by Sofitel, a Dior Couture, a Longchamp, in addition to Apple or Pierre Hermé with l'Occitane.
