Fête de la Musique 2024 in Paris: brass bands in the gardens of the Palais-Royal

To mark the Fête de la musique in Paris, the Ministry of Culture is planning a wonderful summer evening of music to be enjoyed on Friday June 21, 2024 in the gardens of the Palais-Royal. On the program? Fanfares with historic Parisian bands, as well as amateur batucadas, a brass band and a concert by a musician from the metro.

The Musée d’Orsay to be renamed after Valéry Giscard d’Estaing

The Ministry of Culture announced in this Monday March 29: the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie are now renamed after former French President Valéry Giscard d’Estaing. Roselyne Bachelot wishes to pay tribute to a “man of culture, fascinated by art and literature from the 19th century”.

Coronavirus and lockdown: Museum Night 2020 to take place online

The coronavirus epidemic and the first confinement got the better of the 16th Museum Night since the cultural event initially planned on May 16th, 2020 will ultimately take place on November 14th, 2020. Shows over 5,000 people allowed from mid-August: the Ministry shifts focus

Coronavirus: the Ministry of Culture launches a contingency funds for performing arts

To protect the show business sector from the economic crisis, the State, the City of Paris, the ASTP and the Adami came up with a contingency funds for performing arts. This funds applies to unsubsidized theaters, private tour organizers and performing art companies hit by confinement.
