As they have been on hold since March 14th, 2020 because of containment, performing art companies have just been helped by the Ministry of Culture with a support funds financed by the State, the City of Paris, the ASTP (Association Supporting Private Theater) and the Adami (Collective management organization for the rights of performers).
This aid funds applies to theaters, private tour organizers and performing art companies unsubsidized for their use. Drama, dance, circus, street arts, puppet, from small to big structures, this funds includes everyone, the musical sector having its own aid funds.
As for the Paris city hall, they say rules “have been created to help small and fragile companies in order to avoid suspension of payments or liquidations”.
Moreover, private theater managers and drama show companies will enjoy payment of fixed charges – including rents, equipment, office, excluding salaries and salary costs. Companies can enjoy a 15% payment of contracts for the cancelled performance for which commitment was made before March 14th, it will be calculated on a 10-week prorata.
