The Paradox Museum is coming to Paris, and it's not doing things by halves, as it's the largest museum of mental trickery to open anywhere in the world. Having already conquered Miami, Oslo and Stockholm, this temple to illusion has now set up shop just a stone's throw from the Opéra, in 1700 m2 of space on 3 levels.
In Paris, we're already familiar with the Musée de l'illusion and its multi-sensory trail, Sensas, theimmersive and sensoryexperience, and Science Experiences and its immersive trail. Now, a newcomer has joined the ranks of surprising museums with amusing experiences.
Head for the Grands Boulevards in Paris's 9th arrondissement, near FlyView and La tête dans les nuages, to discover this new spot, open since May 18, 2023. This is the European flagship for the concept, which has no intention of stopping there, as a dozen other addresses are already in the pipeline for this year alone.
Discover Paradox Muséum Paris on video :
The Paradox Museum in Paris offers no fewer than 90 experiences for families and friends, pushing back the limits of reality. More than a dozen of these unusual experiences are exclusive to the site! This means you can experience installations designed and created exclusively for the French capital, and which don't exist in Oslo or Barcelona.
Organizer's note: Halloween at Paradox Museum
The museum is specially decorated for Halloween!
From 10/29 to 11/01, discover"Halloween Nights at the Paradox Museum" (7.30pm to midnight, last admission at 10pm).
There'll be hypnotists, mentalists, magicians, performers, spooky candy distribution - the Paradox Museum like no one's ever seen it before!
These 90 experiences will evolve over time, and other illusions and deceptions will be added in the future, to our delight. In the meantime, let's discover some of these paradoxical experiences.
Surprising decors turn your reality upside down, you're fooled by the various trompe l'œil and interactivity is the order of the day. Can you sort out the real from the fake?
Paradox Museum Paris unveils an immersive tour lasting around 1h30. Of course, as a talented photographer, you're welcome to spend more time here, and of course you can take plenty of unusual photos (and videos) to share your experience on social networks.
Last but not least, a special feature of the Paradox Muséum de Paris: a café awaits you at the end of the tour! The perfect way to recover from our emotions with a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. There's also a code locker where you can put your things and coats, which comes in handy when you want to take a photo.
Also note that the number of people on the routes is limited, so booking online is highly recommended to avoid getting stuck.
Finally, a word of advice: recharge your camera and phone batteries well, and take an external battery with you - it can come in handy!
