As every year, Galeries Lafayette Gourmet offers gourmets the chance to discover a whole host of logs designed exclusively for the department store.
And this year it's back! Galeries Lafayette Gourmet unveils no less than 3 sweet logs and one savory log, featuring foie gras. Shall we introduce them to you?
Starting December 11, Jean-Paul Hévin unveils its Bûche Voyageuse, featuring a pistachio gianduja base, a chocolate cookie, a 63% Grand Cru Chanchamayo chocolate mousse and a green cardamom cream. The Voyageuse log is €54 for 7 people.
Also available from Lafayette Gourmet for the 2020 holiday season, Pierre Hermé's Blé Noir shortbread log. On a soft cookie, the pastry chef's log combines cedar pine praline, ganache, pine bud whipped cream and vegetable jelly. Expect to pay 71€ for a 6-person Pierre Hermé log!
From December 15, sweet tooths can look forward to the Ethiopia log at Galeries Lafayette Gourmet. For this original creation, pastry chef Yann Couvreur unveils a coffee-soaked cookie, a smooth Ethiopian mocha cream, an almond-coffee praline, fresh icing, white chocolate and Ethiopian mocha powder. A 6-person log costs 45€!
And for those who prefer savory delights, Maison Dubernet is unveiling, for Christmas 2020, a log of semi-cooked duck foie gras, topped with homemade salted butter caramel and Indian sesame. Available for 55€ from December 12.
