Tweet reads: “Due to Covid-19, the #Louvre museum regulates its frequentation.
Only visitors with pre-booked e-tickets or those entitled to free admission will be guaranteed entry.
Thank you for understanding.”
“Only visitors with pre-booked e-tickets or those entitled to free admission will be guaranteed entry” the Louvre managing board has told to our peers at France Bleu Paris. They added: “Between 40 and 50% of our visitors purchase their tickets online”. As for the other visitors? They will be systematically driven back at the entrance of the pyramid and must book to come in the museum.
A restricted access in order to close temporarily? Despite health and safety measures settled by the government forbidding any gathering over 1000 people in a closed space, be rest assured, the Louvre has announced to stay open until further notice, inviting Parisians, tourists and Île-de-France inhabitants to come and discover the many wonders and masterpieces while respecting some health instructions.
Let’s make the most of it and book our tickets to visit the Louvre and see Mona Lisa, Winged Victory of Samothrace or Liberty Leading the People… While taking precautions.
