In France, the coronavirus epidemic escalates and to curb the second wave, Emmanuel Macron has announced another domestic lockdown up to December 1, 2020. An annoucement that marks the return of the derogatory trip certificates, as well as of the lockdown fine.

So, what do you risk in the event of an offense? For a first breach, you can be fined €135 and a premium to €375. In case you break the lockdown rules, the fine gets steep for recidivists: if you break it another time within the next 15 days, the fine costs €200 (premium to €450), then €3,750 and up to 6 months' jail for a third breach within 30 days.

During the previous lockdow, the police was not the only authority body able to fine people. In case the lockdown was broken, other civil servants were allowed to punich contraveners: municipal police, Paris city agents and countryside wardens.
