Olivier Véran confirmed it this Thursday November 25, 2021, screen tests' validity will be reduced: it moves from 72 to 24 hours starting from Monday November 29, 2021.

This Thursday November 25, French Health Minister Olivier Véran took the floor a press brief and announced measures to fight against Covid-19 as made this Wednesday during the council of ministers.

"The conclusion is clear: our epidemic situation is clearly deteriorating. A few days ago, I spoke of the wave starting at lightning speed, and it is confirmed with a viral reproduction rate now estimated around 1.6 and soon to keep growing in the coming days and weeks", Gabriel Attal claimed after the council.

Therefore, the worrying health situation encouraged the French government to make restrictions especially to encourage the French to get vaccinated.

As expected, the health minister announced that "starting from Monday [November 29, 2021], tests will be no longer valid for 72 hours. We reduced the validity [of tests] down to 24 hours".

Non-vaccinated people will have to get tested a lot more regularly if they wish to go to places open to the public subject to a health pass. These screening tests are also still charged for non-vaccinated people unless they have a doctor's prescription or named contact case by the ARS.
