The Covid-19 crisis far more crucial than during the first wave… Samu urgence France president François Braun addressed on RTL the preoccupying health situation France has been experiencing this Fall. All in all, France has been recording over 40,000 deaths since the epidemic broke out.

The Covid-19 epidemic keeps on growing in France: 40,000 deaths since the pandemic broke out, a much more violent second wave, ICU units almost to the point of saturation, and over 60,000 new daily infections… in other words, a more than preoccupying situation addressed on Monday November 9 by François Braun, head of Samu urgence France on RTL.

As a matter of fact, the situation is far more critical than in Spring even though it is not as visible. In Spring, there were mostly two regions infected, today the entire country is infected on different levels” he explained. He went on: “We are very worried as for the upcoming week, it is going to be decisive for complementary measures and on the saturation point in hospitals”.

How to inverse the curve on the population level? There is no mystery, according to François Braun: “We shall return to rather pragmatic things. The doctrine is that any patient shall enjoy the best cares. To do so, one shall play against time, naming reducing the number of sick” he said. He continued: “To do so, it is all about lockdown, health guidelines… We shall organize care outside the hospital, at home for instance, including under oxygen, and then organize the hospital to get beds available”.

Health guidelines we all know from the first lockdown and one shall comply with all together to make caregivers’ job as easy as possibly and make it to the end of the epidemic.
