This Thursday December 10, 2020, interviewed from Brussels by BFMTV after a European Council on the Covid-19 pandemic health crisis, the French President confirmed the executive was “making the necessary decisions to protect Christmas and families”.

If you take a closer look to the markers of the Covid-19 epidemic in France based on data reported by Santé Publique France, it is difficult to imagine “necessary decisions” that are less restrictive as the current restrictions. Before moving to phase 2 of the lockdown exit strategy – expected to start from December 15 – the head of state has undoubtedly laid the groundwork for partial lockdown exit.
According to news from BFMTV and RMC, curfew would start from 8 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. Furthermore, still according to their sources, lockdown exit for venues would be postponed because of the health situation. Prime Minister Jean Castex is to give further details as for the rest of the events this Thursday December 10 from 6 p.m.
