The latest data are worrying. reporting around 20,100 new cases per day, France now displays one of the highest contamination rates in Europe.

As France seemed to stabilized on a high plateau, every single indicator has been increasing over the past couple of days. The country reports roughly over 20,100 new Coronavirus cases per day, namely over 300 daily cases per million inhabitants. A contamination rate that is one of the highest in Europe. In front of France stands Czech Republic, reporting 884 cases for one million inhabitants.

As for the rest of European countries, France stands in front of Italy (211 cases for one million inhabitants), Spain (206), Germany (169), the United-Kingdom (165), and Portugal (154). Please note most countries have decided to strengthen their restrictions by instating a new lockdown, unlike France that bet on instating nationwide curfew from 6 p.m.

But for the past couple of days, some areas in France are worrying. Partial lockdown over the weekend has been ordered in Alpes-Maritimes, and additional measures are to be made in Dunkirk as the area is faced with an epidemic outbreak.
