Covid: over 50 million French are fully vaccinated

While the Covid-19 epidemic is slightly resurging, over 50 million French are now fully vaccinated, namely 74.2% of the population.

The French government has trouble exceeding 50 million French enjoying full vaccination, while many vaccination centers as closing. The instated health pass has encouraged the population to get vaccinated since July, but there are still 10 million French still not vaccinated. And this late October, according to CovidTracker, 74.2% of the French people are fully vaccinated.

The Covid-19 epidemic reached a plateau before slightly increasing over the past couple of days. The authorities are calling people at risk and over 65 years of age to get their booster shot. Without including children under 12 who have not been granted access to vaccination yet, and 85% of adults and adolescents eligible have been given their injections.

Yet, according to the Health Ministry, the number of unvaccinated in people over 80 remains preoccupying. “500,000 people over 80 years of age are not vaccinated, and 2.5 million of people over 50 years”, epidemiologist Patrick Berche regrets on BFMTV.
