Easter Egg Hunt 2024 at Château de Vaux le Vicomte (77)

The Château de Vaux le Vicomte egg hunt is one of the most popular in the Île-de-France region, and one not to be missed every year! Over Easter weekend, teams from the privately-owned château go all out to entertain the little ones and challenge the grown-ups with thousands of chocolates hidden in the 33-hectare landscaped garden.

This year's dates are Saturday March 30, Sunday March 31 and Monday April 1, 2024, with races running continuously from 10:00 am. At Vaux-le-Vicomte, you have to validate a first parchment to access the famous egg hunt. And to avoid fights and disappointments, several hunts are organized simultaneously, depending on the age of the participants. There's an area for children aged 1 to 5 in the vegetable garden, and another dedicated to 6-12 year-olds, who can search for their eggs in the forest.

For older kids, there's also an egg hunt for teens over 11: this time, the level is a little tougher, with a treasure hunt on the program and a riddle to solve! Come and find the secret of Vatel's mysterious recipe to win the King's gourmet booty. As for the adults, well, they too had their own egg hunt! The lucky winners could even walk away with tickets to the Château's Candlelit Evenings! Indeed, if they manage to find the famous golden egg, it's a wonderful evening ahead.

Competitions for teenagers and adults combine speed, dexterity and skill. For the little ones, it's all about exploration. Especially since the hidden eggs are made of plastic, so that every child goes home with a box of Leonidas chocolate at the end, no matter how many eggs they find!

Finally, throughout the day, giant wooden games and sailboats on the water are on the program for the little adventurers, as well as a giant 1, 2, 3 Soleil! Children can also have their faces painted free of charge, or enjoy a pony ride in the gardens (at an extra charge).
