To mark the occasion, Une Glace à Paris has decided to slip 11 winning beans into its galettes glacés. What's in it for you? The chance to make up theUne Glace à Paris team with two World Champions. One is the 1998 World Football Champion, Emmanuel Petit. The second is 1999 World Pastry Champion, Emmanuel Ryon.
The highlight? Tasting the galette in the company ofEmmanuel Petit. Petit has agreed to be the patron ofUne Glace à Paris' 2019 Galette des Rois, an iced galette des Rois and almond flaky galette created by Emmanuel Ryon, Meilleur Ouvrier de France Glacier, World Pastry Champion, and 2018 Prix d'Excellence du Meilleur Glacier.
To try your luck, head to Une Glace à Paris from January 3 to February 9, 2019.
As for the beans, make way for the FIFA 2018 Football World Cup medals, to be discovered in limited, numbered editions minted by the Monnaie de Paris. The winning beans are red, with the signature Une Glace à Paris.
Note: the 11 lucky winners will have to send an e-mail to receive an invitation to come and taste the galette des rois with Emmanuel Petit and Emmanuel Ryon at Une Glace à Paris, in the parent boutique. In exchange for their winning red beans, they will then receive the FIFA 2018 Football World Cup medal in solid silver, produced in a limited edition by the Monnaie de Paris, before taking the official photo of the new team of 11 winners with the 2 World Champions.

Galette glacée

Emmanuel Ryon renews the genre of the galette des rois with this iced galette composed of pure butter puff pastry concealing an almond ice cream, melting meringues and sugared almonds. It should be eaten warm, after a short baking time (10 minutes in the oven at 150°C). The almond ice cream doesn't melt, protected by a meringue that itself becomes warm and crisp.
Galette classique
One size 6 people / 27 euros
For fans of the traditional galette, the "classic" galette features the famous and inescapable frangipane: the golden puff pastry conceals an almond cream scented with vanilla and orange blossom.
