Located in the heart of the capital, in the Halles district, this unusual Paris library is a temple to music in all its forms. Since 1986, its mission has been to preserve the city's recorded sound heritage. It houses a lending library, a study library and an impressive collection ofsound archives. The Médiathèque musicale de Paris is offering two guided tours to discover the venue, its collections, its rare documents and... the current exhibition *"Sounds of Sunset: Growing up with the music of Los Angeles - 1960-1990"!
* To mark the passage of the Olympic flame from Paris to Los Angeles, the MMP and the Los Angel Public Library are presenting a photo exhibition on music and youth in Los Angeles between 1960 and 1990. You'll be able to immerse yourself in a selection of photos and various types of musical documents recounting this era through bands and musicians, and iconic locations.
