Lunar New Year, Tet festival AGEVP at the Théâtre de Yerres in Essonne, Vietnamese New Year

Every year,AGEVP (Association Générale des Étudiants Vietnamiens de Paris) organizes its Vietnamese New Year Festival - Têt. Like the Chinese New Year, the Vietnamese celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Wood Snake in 2025.

This year's event takes place on Sunday February 16, 2025. This edition will not take place at the Opéra de Massy, but at the Théâtre de Yerres. A not-to-be-missed event, the association invites you to come and enjoy a wonderful day full of discoveries, whether you're a native Vietnamese, just curious or a culture-lover, now's the time to feast with the community.

Program:

Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free admission:

• Parade of traditional Vietnamese tunics
• Vietnamese catering: tasting of traditional dishes
• Traditional game stalls to discover Vietnam and its rich culture,
• Singing and musical entertainment
• Martial arts demonstrations
• Refreshment bar
• Unicorn dance
• Presentation of associative and cultural activities
• And many other surprises...

Great artistic show from 2 to 6 pm:

• Dance, song and sketch shows to welcome the New Year, with delicate touches of Vietnamese culture and tradition mingling with the enthusiastic vigor of our young performers! This year, the association will celebrate its 60ᵉ anniversary in style .
