True to its origins, The Peninsula Hotels group celebrates Chinese New Year every year. The Peninsula Paris is celebrating the arrival of theYear of the Wooden Snake with a program combining gastronomy and festive entertainment on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
To mark the occasion, chef Taklau Yuen and his brigade are unveiling a tasting menu to share at the gourmet Cantonese restaurant Lili. Expect to pay €288 per person (drinks not included) for a festive menu featuring Chinese New Year recipes, each with its own special meaning.
The evening will be enlivened by lion dances and musicians. In Chinese tradition, the lion, a symbol of courage and wisdom, is seen as a lucky animal. During the event, dancers dressed as lions will mingle with guests, skillfully imitating the animal's characteristic movements and behaviors.
The LiLi restaurant also offers its own Lai See, the famous red envelopes containing messages of good fortune, and for some envelopes, surprises hidden inside.
